Medina Welcomes Second Group of Umrah Guests Invited by King Salman

A group of 250 prominent Islamic figures from different countries.

IHRAM.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Medina has received a second batch of Umrah worshippers involved in the Guest Program of the Two Holy Mosques of Hajj, Umrah and Visitation in 2024 (invitation of King Salman).

Reported in Al Riyadh on Thursday (1/2/2024), the group includes 250 prominent Islamic figures, both male and female, from 15 European and South American countries. The countries represented in this group include Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Serbia, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, the United Kingdom, Brazil, and Argentina.

The Umrah worshippers thanked the Guardians of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for giving them the opportunity to perform umrah worship and visit Medina.

They hailed this generous welcome as a testament to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's relentless efforts in serving Islam and Muslims.

Earlier, the first batch of Umrah worshippers ordered to be accommodated in 2024, as part of the Guarding Guest Program of the Two Holy Mosques for Hajj, Umrah, and Visitation, arrived in Medina. The program is implemented by the Ministry of Islam, Dakwah and Guidance of Saudi Arabia.

In the first cloter, the worshippers who had arrived included 250 influential Islamic figures from 14 East Asian countries. They are native to Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Hong Kong, Japan, Brunei, Thailand, the Republic of Korea, Cambodia, and Mongolia.
